How to Protect Your Skin from Sun Heat

Your skin is the most delicate and the most sensitive part of your whole body. Many people do not care about their skin which is extremely wrong and bad for the skin. You skin covers you whole body and is the basic layer that keeps your blood, veins, muscle as well as organs intact. Hence one should take special care that the skin is not prone to damage or it is not burned by the sun or its heat when you go out daily.

There are many ways to protect your skin from sun damage and sun’s extreme heat. Some of the very ways that help you survive the hot, long days of summer are given below

  • Cover

This means that a person covers their skin greatly when they go out. This does not mean covering the face but also the skin of your hands, arms, back, legs and shoulders as well.

  • Protection

While covering might be the first step to prevent your skin from damage, the second step involves protecting it from the sun through different sunscreens and formula application as well.

  • Treatment

This is the third and the final step and is mostly used when the damage has already been done to some extent. This process involves making use of such treatments, creams, lotions, moisturizers as well as remedies that bring back the skin that has been damaged. It also helps it grow its cells and revive again. This step is usually time consuming and requires patience as well.

There are numerous steps that can be taken to do all the above specified processes. They are given as below

  • One can wear big hats to cover the facial skin, apply base and makeup or SPF and dermatologists specified topical sunscreens.
  • One can wear full sleeves and fully covered clothes such as pants etc ad do away with tunics and dresses when they are supposed to be out in the sun for a very long exposed period of time. You should also apply the sunscreen to your neck, shoulder and other body parts such as legs and hands as well.
  • One should drink lots and lots of water and even eat food that is high in water as such to maintain the flexibility and elasticity of the skin.
  • One should consider using masks, milk facial packs, lemon and orange peels, curd and other treatments, etc. to revive skin again as well.

If you employ all these steps you are surely very well prepped enough to deal with all kinds of exposures that you are met with the sun while doing your daily work.

An additional tip includes applying your sun block or sunscreen at least 40 minutes before you step out in the sun so that all the formula has been absorbed in to your skin and it can act as a barrier when your skin is under direct sunlight.

Also for all those whose skin is quite sensitive, they should check with their dermatologist before applying any steps and carry an umbrella preferably with them.
